What we do

TechBrainiacs was founded with the mission of making Computer Science fun and accessible for as many kids as possible. Over time, our focus has evolved to focus on helping kids learn how to use technology as a creative tool. Our Create and Code after-school programs features multiple learning paths and a self-paced model that ensures all students are able to learn at their own speed. Please see below for more detail about the program and the different learning paths.

Coding

Computer code is the language of the future! Our students first learn how to write programs by completing fun projects with BitsBox and Scratch. They’ll then take their skills to the next level with Codesters and Code Combat, which both use Python, one of the most popular coding languages used by today’s professionals.

Digital Storytelling

We know kids love to express their creativity in new ways. Your kids will be able to bring their stories to life using publishing tools such as StoryJumper, Make Beliefs Comix, and Storyboard That to create awesome books and comic strips.

Web Design

Every website we use had to be created by somebody. Our students will get started by using CodeMoji to learn the basics of the coding languages behind the World Wide Web, namely HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Then they’ll have the chance to design and publish a site of their very own using Weebly.

Multimedia

Creativity is again the name of the game as our students make digital art, music, and animation. Some choices include pixel art with Piskel, animation with ABCYa, and music production with Incredibox.
