Aggie Roberts After-School Programs

TechBrainiacs is excited to offer our programs as an after-school enrichment opportunity for students at Aggie Roberts Elementary School. There will be additional programs announced throughout the school year, so keep checking back for more information. We will be hosting these classes in the school’s computer lab right after school from 3:25-4:25 pm. Space will be limited, so be sure to register as soon as you can!

Intro to Video Game Design – Monday Afternoons – 3:25-4:25
9/19, 9/26, 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, and 10/24

Class length: 6 sessions – 1 hour each
Grades: 1-5
Max group size: 15 students
Price: $129/6 sessions – Discounts offered for early bird registration, siblings, educators, military families, and first responders

What could be better than playing video games? Making your OWN games! By the time they have completed this class, your child will have done exactly that. During each session, your child will explore the essential elements of video game design using the online Gamestar Mechanic software. Each student will have a chance to present their games during the final week of class where parents are welcome to attend.

About the Teacher

Jeremy Bruner has worked previously in the Clark County School District teaching the 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from UNLV and a Master of Education from Southern Utah University. Computers and technology have always been a major part of his life. He enjoys action and adventure games most, with some favorites being the Uncharted series, Batman: Arkham City, and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
