Prerequisite skills: Your child should be familiar with Minecraft concepts and controls. They should also have a basic understanding of computer file systems (i.e. how to navigate folders, copy/paste, load/save/create files, etc.). They must be comfortable using the keyboard and mouse/trackpad.

Technical requirements: At this time, Minecraft classes are only being offered at our Las Vegas West location where computers with Minecraft installed are set up for our students to use. Unless otherwise specified, your child will not need to bring their own computer or have their own Minecraft account for this class.

Our Minecraft Modding 101 class will allow your child to start customizing their gaming experience through adding and creating texture packs. Textures are the image files that define the look of the Minecraft world. By editing these texture files, the look and feel of the Minecraft world can be dramatically altered. Everything from the grass to the tools to the Creepers themselves can be modified. By the time they finish this class, your child will be creating their own unique texture packs to share with friends and the Minecraft community as a whole.

We will be offering additional Minecraft classes in the future. Keep checking the Classes page and sign up for our mailing list so we can send you updates, discounts, and other special offers.
