What could be better than playing video games? Making your OWN games! By the time they have completed this Introduction to Video Game Design class, your child will have done exactly that. During each session, your child will explore the essential elements of video game design using the online Gamestar Mechanic platform. Participation in offline group activities and discussions will further reinforce their learning. By the end of this class, your child will:

    • Identify and define the five elements of game design
    • Design balanced games that are both fun and challenging
    • Playtest and effectively give feedback on each other’s games
