Recommended Ages: 7-13 (2rd-8th grade)

Prerequisite skills: This is a beginner level class and no previous experience with robotics is necessary. Familiarity with programming concepts is a plus, but not a requirement. Your child should be comfortable using a computer with keyboard and mouse.
Technical requirements: Each student will be provided their own Edison robot and LEGO Compact Tracked Loader kit as part of the cost of the class ($65 value). Computers and all other necessary materials will be supplied and will not need to be brought from home.
This class will send your child on an Edventure into Robotics. After first exploring what their new Edison robot (included with registration) can do with some prewritten programs, they will learn how to use the included software to write their own programs. Then they will use the LEGO Compact Tracked Loader kit (also included) to enhance their robot’s capabilities. They will work with other students to combine their robots and create bigger and better designs and programs. Best of all, each student will keep their robot so they can continue working even once class has finished. This is just the start of their Edventure!
