Program Description

Choose from three awesome learning paths!

***All tools/sites used are web-based and may be accessed from home***

Game Design – What could be better than playing games? Making your own! These tools will get your child started learning the FUNdamentals of game design. They’ll soon be creating, publishing, and sharing their own games with classmates and other gamers around the world. Sites used include Gamestar Mechanic, Sploder, and Scratch.

Coding – Computer code is the language of the future. Your son or daughter will learn how to write programs by completing fun projects with the introductory Scratch language or take their skills to the next level with Codesters and Code Combat to learn Python, one of the most popular coding languages used by professionals.

Digital Storytelling – We know kids love to express their creativity in new ways. Now they will be able to bring their stories to life using publishing tools such as StoryJumper, Pixton, and Make Beliefs Comix.

We’ve added more flexibility to our program this year. Instead of enrolling for any set period of time, you are purchasing access to a certain number of weekly sessions — no matter when those sessions are actually used. While we hope your child will be able to join us every week, you need not worry if there are times they must be absent. Your family will always receive the number of sessions for which you’ve paid. Our self-paced program will allow your child to pick back up right where they left off and never feel left behind. This also means that our students may join the class at any time throughout the school year.
